Products Made in Italy on display in Florence

After two editions which ended more successfully than expected, the third edition of Immagine Italia & Со. starts with the best hopes. The fair of household linen preview, furnishing textiles, underwear and lingerie will be held in Florence from February 5th to 9th 2010 in the beautiful frame of the Fortezza da Basso. Lots of novelties were already announced by Tex Home in the previous issues and now we can see them more in detail. Indeed, the business objectives of the organisers were fully satisfied, since the 30,000 sq. m. of exhibition area were covered without problems. On the contrary, they had to eliminate some names, due to different reasons, and to put them in the waiting list.

Unfortunately, one of them is the Gruppo Gabel, one of the most important Italian Hands of the industry and this disappoints the people who believe in this fair and in its representative role on the Italian production and creative landscape. We do not want to face the reasons of this missed attendance in detail, but we believe that, for an event with ambitious goals aimed at being the most important Italian household linen fair, the lack of а name like Gabel can only surprise and disconcert us. It is true that Pistoia Promuove, the body which is directly under the authority of the Pistoia Chamber of Commerce, is а public institution and therefore the decisions are made depending on logics of territorial development which sometimes are not in line with the market interests. In any case, it is important also to take into consideration the specific industry of this fair and the brands which count in the household linen sector. Therefore, it is important to secure the attendance of all the names that can continue, also in the future, to make this event prestigious, representative and important. And even more in а period — the deadline of the three-year "first mandate" which was а fundamental element of the business plan of the fair two years ago — where the appointments at the Pistoia Chamber of Commerce could be а delicate substantial step for the future of this show.

Events

Lounge & Show at the Cavaniglia

Rich and innovative schedule for the 2010 edition of Immagine Italia & Со. of the entire Pavilion Cavaniglia of the Fortezza da Basso dedicated exclusively to the events. For the occasion the pavilion name will be Cavaniglia Lounge & Show. Fashion shows, workshops, showrooms and meeting corners dedicated to the sharing of inputs and suggestions for the enterprises: precious contributes which make Immagine Italia & Co even more unique, appealing and modern.

Open Eyes Dream — Collective fashion show of underwear-lingerie. An appointment with the luxurious sensuality and irresistible trend with previews of the autumn/winter 2011 collections.

The Eco-friendly Corner — Fabrics in natural fibres and products with а low environmental impact are the strong point of the 2010 lines proposed by the companies which display their products at Immagine Italia & Со., products in the edge where the research of beauty is combined with the respect for the environment. The Corner Eco-friendly is managed by С.L.А S. S. and will be dedicated to the ecosustainable world, in addition to give advice and update as regards all the production processes with а minimum environmental impact existing in the world.

Visual Workshop, "The shop which gives emotions" — Course of techniques, tricks and details to transform the household linen point of sales in а true attraction pole managed by Edinterni for Tex Home and Home Italia magazines. In combination with "Profumi di tessuto": seminar to make perfumed and multi-sensorial layouts for the point of sales.

Meteore d’Immagine — The spaces of lmmagine Italia & Со. dedicated to visual art with "А.А А. Cercasi Brand", photographic show managed by the Studio Linea Show from Prato (original shots which interpret fashion through the immediacy of the advertisement language), and with lmmagine Arte, free interpretation of Tuscan artists and their creativity.

Verdi Progetti — Colours and scents from nature dress the Cavaniglia Lounge & Show through the exclusive products from Pistoia, which is well known by everybody as the "European capital of green".

The corner of health: Terme di Montecatini — When history, culture and wellness are combined with each other and renew themselves in an oasis where we can find pleasure and relaxation.

Taste Tuscany — the daily appointment with free tasting of Tuscan wine-food products.
